Team for Kids runners raise critical funds to help NYRR provide free youth programs to more than 200,000 kids around the nation. Our TFK staff was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit a local site and observe one of these programs in action. Nutrition coach, Sia Pickett, led a class for 30 Young Runners and taught the students how nutrition can play a major role in becoming a successful runner and healthy person. She provided insight on how to make nutritious smoothies and healthy decisions at the grocery store. It was an amazing class and the students left feeling inspired and eager to share what they learned.
