What event are you running with Team for Kids?
I will be running the Airbnb Brooklyn Half on May 16th with Team for Kids.

What is your favorite place to run and why?
I love running in Central Park. There’s just so much to see as you make your way up those rolling hills. My favorite part about running in Central Park is discovering a new section I’ve never been to before.

If you run with music, what are your favorite artists or songs to listen to?
Justin Timberlake, hands down!

What is your favorite post-run meal?
Pizza is my all-time favorite (after long runs)!

When did your relationship with running begin and why?
My relationship with running started early 2014 when I decided I wanted to become more fit. I signed-up for my first half marathon, NYRR’s Virtual Training Program and I hit the ground running (pun intended)!

Do you have any pre-race rituals or superstitions, if so, please explain?
I usually throw my headphones on and blast Empire State of Mind. That song always pumps me up!

Why did you choose to run this event?
I’ve been told that the Brooklyn Half is a great race to run. Plus, you finish the race on the famous Coney Island boardwalk. How cool is that!?

Tell us a little more about yourself
I’m a New Yorker– born and raised
I’m 23
I work in marketing
Spring weather is my favorite running weather
When I’m not running, I like to binge watch Netflix
Kara Goucher is one of my many inspirations

What excites you most about running your event with Team for Kids?
I’m really excited to run for Team for Kids because I love what TFK is all about. Getting kids up and active is very important in today’s society so I’m excited to be a part of the movement!
